The Grind 2017 brought 330 teams to Chester County last weekend representing the following 17 states and New Zealand: CA, CT, GA, MA, MD, MN, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OR, PA,TN, TX, UT, VA, and WA.

The event – run by Ultimate Events – was played on 35 fields across 5 different sites: West Chester University, GCVSA Line Road Complex, Great Valley High School, Westtown School, and Bishop Shanahan High School.
Over 175 college institutions were represented on The Grind sidelines both Saturday and Sunday.
In addition to top competition and elite teams, The Grind hosted the New Zealand National Team Saturday, July 8 for an exhibition game in preparation for the World Cup. The New Zealand National Team played a local PA All-Star team made up of the elite players listed below and was coached by Joe Tornetta.
At the beginning of the game, the New Zealand team performed their Haka for the very first time! (Click here to see the video). Ultimate Events and Sports was honored to host the New Zealand National Team at The Grind and thanks West Chester University for making this game possible!
