3/28/23 – Boston, MA – Evan Sardina goes the division three route and commits to Vassar College. The 2023 faceoff played for the club Gorilla Lacrosse. Sardina was a 2022 Dual County League All-Star, and a 2022 Elite 100 All-Star. He finished in second place at the 2021 Face-off Factory, and was named a New England Showdown Standout Player at the Face-off Factory Fall finale. The future Vassar Brewer has a 90% faceoff win rate in his 2022 high school season. Sardina currently has a 4.5 GPA at Boston Latin School and is a part of the National Honor Society.
Why did you choose Vassar College? – “I chose Vassar College because it has one of the most beautiful campuses I have ever visited. They have an unbelievable library where I would love to study! The campus is also located on a farm, so students receive fresh and organic food daily. I was especially captivated by the scenery and how caring the staff is at the institution. Lastly, the coach is an amazing person who I believe runs a great program in one of the toughest conferences in NCAA DIII!”
Who do you wish to thank? – “I would like to thank my mom and dad for motivating me to put my best foot forward. Their guidance has set me up for success, which I will continue to build off of to make them proud. The organization that helped me build up my skills the most was Face-off Factory. I would not be here today if it wasn’t for Coach Joe Nardella, Derek Yannone, and Kyle Danehy. I would also like to thank Coach Mike Devlin from my high school, Coach Jim Connolly and Nick Pfeifer from Gorilla Lacrosse, and Chaim Andler from Speed Training. Lastly, I would love to thank all of my friends who took time out of their day to help me get better. Could not have been here if it was not for you guys.”
