Today’s ‘Uncommitted Spotlight’ features Top Gun Fighting Clams (MA) 2020 attackman/midfielder Peter Kip of Thayer Academy (MA).
Lacrosse Honors: Starting midfielder for ISL power Thayer Academy as a freshman, selected to the New England Under Armour Underclassman team this summer.
Main Attributes (from coaches): A slashing and highly creative offensive player, the “midfielder” may have found his calling at attack this summer. Peter’s outstanding shot and ability to score in a variety of ways immediately changed the complexion of our offense when he dropped down and joined the attack unit.
Coaches Comments: “It will be interesting to see if the switch to attack becomes permanent, or whether he continues to build on his base of consistency and straddles the positional fence. Either way, on both the top Clam team and at Thayer, he’ll be nearly impossible to keep off the field.”
Tournaments: This fall, Kip plans to attend the 3d Mayflower Tournament in Taunton Mass on 11/5, the 3d/FLG Tourament on 11/12 in Milford, DE, and the Philly Showcase on 11/19 in Downingtown, PA. Kip is also considering attending The Pursuit, which he has been invited to attend, as well as the Mayflower individual showcase on 11/4.
